San Antonio—Members of American Home Surfaces Group (AHSG) & Commercial USA raised $16,700 for the Floor Covering Industry Foundation during the group’s recent summit.
The funds will support flooring industry families facing catastrophic illness, severe injury or disability.
“Our members include independent flooring retailers, commercial contractors and supplier partners from across the country,” said Brian Preuss, president of AHSG & Commercial USA. “They all share a connection to the people who make this industry work. When Scott Humphrey of the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) shared FCIF’s mission from our stage, they gave $8,350 in just 10 minutes. AHSG was proud to match that, bringing the total to $16,700 for flooring families in need.”
Humphrey serves as vice chair of FCIF’s board of directors in addition to his role at WFCA. He discussed FCIF’s mission and the growing demand for assistance among flooring industry families.
Attendees responded with individual donations. Bob Himmelreich of Pro-Tech Floors provided a corporate gift that matched those contributions. AHSG then matched the combined amount, bringing the total to $16,700.
The support comes as FCIF faces continued demand for assistance. The foundation has already awarded its entire 2026 grant budget to qualified flooring families.
