KENNESAW, GA.—Invista has hired Derek Young as its global sustainability manager. In this role, Young will help advance the company’s Performance Surfaces and Materials division with its sustainability efforts in four key areas: enduring materials, superior performance, responsible manufacturing and corporate citizenship.

Young comes to Invista with a background in sustainability, including climate change, resource consumption and waste. He has worked with several government agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), as well as the National Governors Association (NGA), the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) and others representing state/local governments.
