Bamboo Hardwoods, a fast-growing industry leader of bamboo flooring and panel products, today announced that it has entered into a representation agreement with Commercial Solutions.  Commercial Solutions, a division of the B.R. Funsten Co., provides the Arizona, California and Nevada commercial marketplace with a single source solution for any major flooring project – from specification to product installation.  This representation expands Bamboo Hardwoods’ profile towards the commercial marketplace throughout the region, and offers a trusted name brand of bamboo flooring and coordinating accessories to Commercial Solutions’ respective network of field representatives and will-call locations throughout the tri-state area.

“Commercial Solutions is well-known and throughout the region so we are excited to have them represent Bamboo Hardwoods and be a part of the overall B.R. Funsten family of companies,” said David Keegan, chief operating officer of Bamboo Hardwoods, Inc.  “With such a well-known brand like Bamboo Hardwoods, combined with Commercial Solutions’ long-standing reputation throughout those important markets – we feel this agreement will greatly benefit both parties.”

Founded in 1956, the B.R. Funsten Co. has grown into one of the ten largest flooring wholesalers in the nation serving markets throughout California, Nevada and Arizona – and serves as the parent company to both the Tom Duffy Co. and Commercial Solutions by providing the most comprehensive group of products and services across all flooring channels.  The Commercial Solutions team includes LEED certified specification representatives, full-time project trackers, and knowledgeable flooring application sales professionals to offer an exponential level of support in the areas of technical expertise, installation & maintenance, as well as sample fulfillment and product procurement.

Commercial Solutions will represent the entire Bamboo Hardwoods flooring product line of: transitions, engineered and solid bamboo flooring options towards their network.  “Our commercial customers are demanding high-quality bamboo flooring and we feel Bamboo Hardwoods gives us the best product and service available throughout the entire industry,” said Tom Kane, direction of commercial solutions.  “We compared numerous bamboo flooring lines before choosing the Bamboo Hardwoods’ brand – and I am extremely pleased that we now have a product line of this caliber.”

Offering 100 percent, rapidly-renewable and FSC-certified bamboo, Bamboo Hardwoods’ products are well-respected with designers, architects and homeowners who prefer using environmentally-benign products that are both elegant and long lasting.  Known for quality bamboo products for over a decade, Bamboo Hardwoods’ offers a vast selection of colors and styles, with a large assortment of matching accessories and transition pieces to complement a wide array of residential and commercial décor styles – including engineered flooring featuring strand-woven construction – where strips of bamboo are coated with resin, and then compressed under thousands of tons of pressure producing a very dense floor that is least-likely to dent, measuring over 3,000 on the Janka Hardness Scale.

“The addition of Bamboo Hardwoods’ products continues our long tradition of offering superior flooring options to our customer base,” adds Kane.  “We were really impressed with their overall product knowledge, support and performance as they already have many successful existing commercial installations throughout California.”
