Lancaster, Pa.—Armstrong Commercial Flooring released a no polish, no buff maintenance option for Armstrong’s heterogeneous sheet and tile products.

“Armstrong wants to provide customers with maintenance flexibility,” said Christian Kuswita, commercial product manager. “This new maintenance option allows customers to maintain their floors without polish and without buffing.”

Products including Translations, Perspectives sheet and tile, and Timberline have a new, non-strippable, UV-cured urethane coating that helps resist scratches, scuffs and stains.

Initial and ongoing maintenance such as sweeping or dust mopping, damp mopping and scrubbing are still necessary to maintain the appearance of floors, though site conditions still dictate which procedures are needed. Armstrong recommends customers follow all manufacturer recommended maintenance procedures for lasting beauty and performance.

“In tests, Armstrong heterogeneous flooring products without polish and buffing performed very well and as good as competitive products with similar maintenance recommendations,” Kuswita finished.
