Chicago—The North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors’ (NAFCD) 2021 Annual Convention will take place November 2-4, 2021, in-person at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. Following a successful virtual event in the fall of 2020, the association said it is looking forward to providing a forum for the industry’s leading wholesale distributors and partner suppliers to reconnect at a live event this fall.
Top distributors and suppliers of floor covering, accessories and installation supplies will come together at the annual convention to educate themselves on trends impacting the supply chain, share best practices, deepen relationships with current suppliers and open dialogue with potential new sources of supply.
“Our members are really looking forward to meeting face to face with their peers and trading partners,” said Kevin Gammonley, executive vice president. “More so than in a normal year, there is pent-up demand for interpersonal connection and a live forum to address challenges and opportunities in the distribution channel.”
The NAFCD annual convention is a popular gathering for top executives from leading distributorships to stay abreast of topics impacting the channel while also hearing about trends impacting different parts of North America. Additionally, the annual event provides a unique and intimate forum for distributor and manufacturer executives to connect to assess their partnership while also confirming growth plans for the coming year.
“Planning has begun for this fall’s event, which is expected to be well attended,” Gammonley shared. “2021 is providing plenty of new disruptions in the supply chain and thus a new set of challenges for distributors. This leads our members to want to connect and learn from each other as well as from professional presenters featured on this year’s program, who will represent some of the sharpest minds in distribution management strategy, economics, sales and marketing.”
Private, sit-down meetings between distributors and suppliers—pre-scheduled for maximum productivity—will once again be a core component of the NAFCD 2021 annual convention. Member and non-members suppliers are currently welcome to reserve their tabletop booths for this fall. Extensive measures will be in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees. Lively entertainment and creative social functions will be featured to facilitate relationship building among distributors and suppliers while making for a stimulating and enjoyable attendee experience, according to the NAFCD.
Registration will open in July.
