Salem, N.J.—Mannington Commercial announced the launch of Progressions VCT, ideal for healthcare, retail and K-12 education installations. This resilient tile is the latest of Mannington’s choices that work and what the mill calls the industry’s only complete mix of hard and soft commercial floorcoverings to be offered through a single point of contact.

Progressions is manufactured with post-consumer recycled content, as part of Mannington’s VCT n2 VCT program, which was awarded a 2010 Green GOOD DESIGN award by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Through its LOOP initiative, Mannington reclaims large quantities of VCT and drywall from regional construction sites, recycling them into new flooring.

Progressions represents Mannington’s first use of recycled VCT into its Premium Tile line. The reclaimed content is being incorporated into a product that comes at a lower price point.

“In an industry overpopulated with third party certifications, we chose the most stringent to set the bar high for ourselves, and for hard surface manufacturers,” said Zack Zehner, vice president, Commercial Hard Surfaces. “NSF/ANSI-332 measures, documents and proves environmentally preferable materials and practices in product design, manufacturing operations, long-term value and end of life management, all along the supply chain.”

Monolithic, non-directional visuals bring sophistication to interior spaces, in relevant and current color range in the industry. The collection’s thirty-six rich neutrals, saturated hues and key primary accents offer the right color for installations from healthcare to K-12 schools.

Progressions is Floor Score certified, assuring good Indoor Air Quality characteristics and bears the NSF/ANSI-332 certification for resilient floor covering, at the Gold level. Developed as an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) consensus standard, NSF/ANSI-332 is based upon life cycle principles and other robust environmental and social standards for floorcovering products.

“We were the first company to achieve NSF/ANSI-332 certification, and today’s designers, architects and facility managers are telling us that they want more resilient flooring with credible certifications,” Zehner said. “So we are pleased to add Progressions to our roster of more sustainable hard surface products.”

Progressions is available now.
