SARHarrisburg, Pa.—On March 11, 2022, Skip Mason was named president of SAR Floors, an LVT supplier known for high-performing floors with stylistic designs. Since his start with the company, Mason has shown great determination and the ability to make strategic changes that have positively impacted the business, according to the company.

Native to Levittown, Pa., and later moving to Central Pennsylvania after getting married in 1991, Mason started out his sales career in the electrical wholesale industry where he honed his skills under the mentorship of Robert E. Drucker of Progress Lighting. He then transitioned to a local, family-owned cabinet company named SpringHill Kitchens in Annville, Pa.

In 1995, Mason was introduced to Lee and Sue Allwein, owners of Allwein Carpet One in Annville, Pa. This led to Mason’s first management opportunity running the Bigelow Carpet Factory Outlet in Palmyra, Pa. From there he was employed by Shaw Industries for 20 years; 15 years as a territory manager in the Harrisburg, Pa., market and his last five years as a corporate account manager, during which time he supported one of Shaw’s largest customers, Sherwin Williams.

In 2019, Mason joined FloorMax USA and SAR Floors as the director of national sales for both companies. In January of 2020, he stepped into the full-time roll as director of sales for SAR Floors. In 2021, he lead SAR Floors with an ambitious growth spurt and pushed the envelope in sales creating over 200% growth in that year, the company said. Mason’s strong determination and added focus to structure operations lead to his advancement as president, according to SAR Floors. He said without an energetic and loyal SAR Floors team none of this growth would have been possible.
