WONZ WINNER: A California salesperson and a pair of lucky consumers were the winners in the Wools of New Zealand (WONZ) Live Well with Wool spring event. John and Ellen Kruger of San Rafael, Calif., were the winning customers, while Barbara Brown, a wool specialist with Tahoe Specialty Carpet and Design, in Tahoe City, Calif., submitted the winning entry. The Krugers, who purchased a WONZ-branded needlepoint patterned loop carpet by Godfrey Hirst, won an entire year of monthly “Live Well” services, including a personal chef, massage therapy, spa treatments and/or professional domestic services. Meanwhile, Brown was rewarded with the latest iPad WIFI 3G. Also, WONZ contributed $1,000 to Dress for Success, an organization dedicated to providing suits to disadvantaged women to help them launch new careers.

ANOTHER WINNER: Recycled rubber flooring company Regupol America named Washington, D.C., architect Scott Knudson as the winner in its Dual Personality promotion to support the launch of its patent-pending AktivPro modular tile. Participants needed to answer a survey that asked “What’s Your Dual Personality?” for a chance to win. Knudson and a guest not only won a five- night trip to Kingston, Jamaica, they were the company’s guests at the Jamaica International Invitational in the National Stadium to witness the first races on a new Regu-pol Tartan-branded track that was installed there this year.

FIGURES: The Regupol contest asked people if they had a dual personality what would it be? The company offered five definitions to generate comments and here’s the break- down: Daring/Decisive—27%: Risk is your middle name; you eat adrenaline for breakfast; you know when to let it ride…and when to fold. Goofy/Grounded—23%: Your smile shows your full set of teeth and your laugh echoes above a crowded room; laughter is the best medicine, and it should be administered on a daily basis. Tender/Tenacious—18%: You know just what people need to hear; your shoulder is constantly wet from being cried on; but hurry up because you have a conference, a working lunch and Pilates in between. Focused/Flamboyant—15%: You’re a hard-hitting, can-do, go-getter who loves to get the job done; and to be the only person wearing fuschia. Finally, Beauty/Beast—10%: You’re a beautiful soul, embracing life and the opportunities each day offers; just don’t get in your path as you growl your way to the coffee maker.
