Kennesaw, Ga.Invista announces Richard Harinsky of Lady Lakes, Fla. as the winner of the Stainmaster carpet 25th anniversary sweepstakes; a promotion held during October at participating Stainmaster flooring center showrooms and Stainmaster Showcase retailers.

At a presentation ceremony held on Dec. 7 at the Great Lakes Carpet and Tile showroom where he entered the sweepstakes, Harinsky and his wife Lorie were presented with a giant ceremonial $25,000 check from Invista marketing manager Gary Johnston, who was accompanied by Darren Hearns and Tom Urban, president/owner and general manager from Great Lakes Carpet and Tile, respectively, as well as by several customers and store personnel.

“During the promotion period, more than 12,000 consumers went online to look for participating Stainmaster dealers,” said Johnston. “Richard turned out to be our lucky winner!”

Local newspaper The Village Daily Sun was on hand, as well as local radio station WVLG AM 640 with a remote on-air broadcast from the store as the check was presented to the Harinskys.

Hearns said that he and his team at Great Lakes Carpet and Tile were very excited that his store—which has only been a Stainmaster flooring center showroom for just a little over a year—was associated with the Harinsky award and recognition. “We’ve had a banner year in 2011, with sales up more than 50%from last year—so this was just the icing on the cake of a terrific year as a new Stainmaster flooring center.”

After the ceremony, Mr. Harinsky and his wife returned to Great Lakes Carpet and Tile to purchase more flooring for their home. And, as if they hadn’t yet had enough excitement already, at the time of the presentation they were asked what they were going to do with the money—and Mrs. Harinsky stated they were going to Disney World.
