DALTON—IVC US Inc., announced the appointment of Paul Murfin as president of IVC US, effective  Sept. 6.

“Paul’s appointment further strengthens our commitment to become the leading US based manufacturer of various resilient floor covering categories,” said Jan Vergote, IVC Group, CEO. “It is the board’s view that his profound understanding of our customer’s needs will create a platform for continued high growth.”

In his new position, Murfin will be in charge of Sales, Marketing and Product Development in order to further boost IVC’s presence in North America. He will report to Mr. Xavier Steyaert, CEO of IVC US, Inc.

“Paul has an enviable history of success in the flooring industry,” said Xavier Steyaert, IVC US, CEO.  “He has a wealth of experience and a unique network that will be of tremendous value to a young and fast growing company such as IVC US.”

Murfin has spent more than 20 years in various leadership roles in the North American floor coverings industry, amongst others as a President of a major floor coverings distributor, Misco Shawnee, and most recently as vice president of residential sales with Armstrong World Industries.

“We explicitly wish to thank Mr. Stefaan Debusschere, IVC’s current Vice President Sales & Marketing, for bringing IVC to North America and positioning the company to make the transition from a distributor to a major US manufacturer. After the necessary debriefing period until the end of 2011, Stefaan will take up the Belgium based role of International Business Development Director for Moduleo, IVC’s new LVT Business Unit. We wish Stefaan a lot of success in this exciting and challenging new role.”
