Johnson City, Tenn. Mullican Flooring, a leading hardwood-flooring manufacturer based in Johnson City, Tenn., has named California native Louis Gordillo as its west coast regional sales manager.

In his new position, Gordillo oversees the promotion of Mullican products to flooring distributors in a seven-state region that includes California, Washington, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon and Hawaii.

“We are very pleased to have someone of Louis’ caliber and experience as a leader in our sales force,” Brian Greenwell, Mullican’s vice president of sales and marketing, said. “Our company continues to grow, and it’s a step forward to have Louis representing us and making inroads into western U.S. markets.”

A hardwood flooring veteran, Gordillo has more than 27 years of experience in the field, a span during which he held several executive positions.

Gordillo began his wood-flooring career working as a flooring installer and refinisher for The Floor Junction. In 1994, he obtained a position with a major Swedish flooring manufacturer as technical services manager with oversight of North America, Asia and Australia. Gordillo later worked as the hard surfaces sales manager for a leading flooring supplier and held senior management positions with two major flooring distributors in northern California.

“I’m excited to join a leading hardwood flooring company such as Mullican,” Gordillo said. “I’m confident there’s a great deal of pent-up demand for the kind of products that Mullican offers, and I’m looking forward to building our brand recognition in the western part of the country.”
