Mohawk announces hardwood price increase

HomeNewsMohawk announces hardwood price increase

Dallas—Mohawk has announced it will increase prices on select Mohawk brand solid and engineered hardwood products on orders and shipments made on or after October 21. “Since our last price increase announcement, raw material costs have continued to rise on select lumber and veneer species,” said Jamie Byrne, senior vice president of hard surfaces. “A combination of an improving economy and less than ideal logging conditions has resulted in increased demand coupled with a slower supply response.

“Unfortunately,” he explained, “the cost increases continue to outpace our productivity initiatives. Mohawk is incredibly grateful for the loyalty and support of our retail partners. As always, we will continue to offer them the highest quality products along with the finest service, business and marketing support.”
