Dalton—Shaw Industries has named proven industry and marketing professional Nicki Rayburn as its new director of public relations and communications. Rayburn brings 15 years of marketing experience, over eight of which were spent in the flooring industry, to the company. She will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic consumer public relations campaigns, cause marketing initiatives as well as serving as the primary trade media liaison for Shaw’s residential business.

Before joining Shaw, Rayburn most recently served as director of marketing for the world’s largest rug manufacturer, Oriental Weavers, and prior to that as the director of public relations for Mohawk Flooring, where she was responsible for all residential and commercial public relations initiatives involving the Mohawk, Karastan and Durkan brands.

“Nicki brings a wealth of marketing experience to our team,” said Kathy Young, vice president of marketing services. “We are excited to tap into her industry knowledge and passion for developing meaningful marketing campaigns that move the needle for our retail partners’ businesses. She is a strong addition to our already talented team of marketing professionals and we’re happy to have her on board.”
