Cali launches large-format vinyl plank line

HomeCommercialCali launches large-format vinyl plank line

San Diego, Calif.—In response to the success of Cali’s first pros-only line, Builder’s Choice, the omni-channel building products company said it has launched Builder’s Choice XL, a longer, broader vinyl plank with commercial-grade durability. BCXL is ideal for professional orders with a competitive price point appropriate for large-scale installations, the company said.

“Riding the success of Builder’s Choice, we now bring you BCXL, a natural upgrade and a great 1-2 punch,” said Doug Jackson, Cali president. “We expect these collections to live side by side, giving both the pro and the end user two fantastic products that offer different colors, visuals, lengths and widths.”

The BCXL launch includes six all-new colors with authentic hardwood visuals. Planks are longer and wider, measuring 60 inches long by 9 inches wide and 3/16-inch thick, compared to the original Builder’s Choice line measuring 48 x 7 1/8. Larger planks with a precise click-lock system make for faster floated installations, saving time, money and mess, particularly during bigger commercial projects, the company said.

Like all Cali Vinyl collections, BCXL is 100% waterproof and shielded by a 20-mil-thick wear layer—suitable for any home, storefront, gym or hotel. A strengthening limestone composite core makes flooring easy to install and clean in any room without the need for glue, nails or acclimation. Built-in IXPE acoustic padding provides boosted sound and thermal insulation for more comfortable interiors. As with all Cali Vinyl flooring, BCXL is also FloorScore certified, and backed by a 50-year residential and 15-year commercial warranty—an impressive commitment for even the best engineered wood flooring brands.
