AFCAN Amorim Cork FlooringMississauga, Canada—Amorim Cork Flooring has expanded into Canada with the establishment of Amorim Flooring Canada (AFCAN), a new sales unit located in here, earlier this month.

As a reflection of the company’s sustainability values, AFCAN said it will focus on Amorim Wise, which is designed to provide sustainable and PVC-free cork flooring solutions with a negative carbon balance. The company said it will also reintroduce its brand, Wicanders, to the market with a renewed image and with practical solutions for everyday life.

“This is a moment to celebrate as we are writing a new chapter in Amorim Cork Flooring’s history,” said Andre Tavares, general manager, AFCAN. “The company has a historical connection with Canada, where we built strong partnerships over the years, so it comes as a natural step to establish ourselves among this amazing community. AFCAN will surely lead the way in providing our customers with high-quality, sustainable products and professional service.”

AFCAN also launched its local websites for both the Amorim Wise and Wicanders brands. Along with its product offering and information, AFCAN said its consumers can test different flooring visuals in the floor simulator or do a virtual tour in Amorim Cork Floorings’ showroom in Portugal. According to AFCAN, the dealer locator on both websites is designed to provide the consumer with exact information on where to buy products in selected dealers around the country.

“As we continue to expand our business, AFCAN comes as an important investment in the future of the company as it will strengthen our presence in North America,” said Fernando Melo, chief executive officer, Amorim Cork flooring. “Despite the turbulent times we are living in with COVID-19, we know it will be a success as we will stay true to our values of sustainability, exceptional product quality and client care.”
