Schönox HPS North America and Reader’s Wholesale Distributors, a top 20 distributor, have announced a strategic partnership that calls for the wholesaler to provide Schönox subfloor products across southern Texas, a region experiencing remarkable growth in the building and renovation sectors.

“Schönox is a market leader and innovator in the installation and subfloor preparation market specifically with its synthetics and hybrids series,” said Adam Burke, president, Reader’s Wholesale Distributors. “Schönox products offer solutions for our customers across all segments of the business and are a great addition to what we currently offer.”

Founded in 1935, Reader’s is in its four-generation of family ownership. In recent years, Reader’s placed an important focus on growth in the installation and sundries business, helping customers to bundle their purchases, alleviate complexity and save on logistical costs.

“Reader’s strategic vision positions the company as an ever-increasing value to its substantial customer base, solving subfloor challenges for customers while helping to grow their businesses,” said Thomas Trissl, principal, Schönox HPS North America. “We are excited to be a part of their strategic plans, and we are eager to further their business development goals in the increasingly important subfloor category.”

Emphasis on training

Training and strategic development meetings between Reader’s and Schönox began in December and continued in January at the Schönox Support Center and in Houston at Reader’s headquarters. Training is a strong initiative for Schönox and is only growing more so in 2022 with the rollout of the company’s Hands ÖN training initiatives.

“The entire team at Reader’s is outstanding with an acute focus on helping customers to grow their project scope with top-performing products” said Doug Young, executive vice president, Schönox HPS North America. “It makes sense that product training would be an early focus of our relationship, maximizing the use of Schönox technologies with every project.”
