la grandeLos Angeles—Monarch Plank, a Galleher brand of wide-plank hardwood flooring, is building on the success of its flagship Domaine II collection by taking luxury hardwood flooring a step further with the La Grande collection. The new collection features even wider and longer boards with the same premium construction.

La Grande offers 10-foot-long boards that are over 11 inches wide. All wood planks use premium color treatments, a top-quality, ultra-matte urethane finish by Bona of Sweden and a robust, 6mm-thick wear layer that offers the same longevity as a solid hardwood floor.

“We believe La Grande is truly the best and most beautiful hardwood flooring money can buy,” said Danny Harrington, VP of product strategy at Galleher, the parent company of Monarch Plank. “We are proud to offer a premium product that exceeds expectations in both design and durability. This collection sets a new standard for European hardwood flooring and will provide a stunning addition to any home or commercial space.”

According to the company, the colors developed for La Grande feature some of the most advanced coloring techniques in the industry, including smoking and multiple layers of pre-treatments and reactive stains that provide for very subtle, complex, natural-looking hues.

All La Grande flooring is finished with an ultra-matte UV-cured urethane from Bona. La Grande’s bears the Bona ‘High Durability Finish’ logo. In addition, the cross-ply layers that give the collection its exceptional stability are assembled with a formaldehyde-free adhesive, making it a healthier alternative to many engineered floors on the market.
