City of Industry, Calif. – Bentley Prince Street, Inc., an industry leader in commercial carpet design, quality and sustainability, is pleased to introduce Holly DeBrodt as the company’s new director of sustainability. DeBrodt has been with Bentley Prince Street since 2009 and previously served as a sales representative based in Portland, Oregon. Her background in sales will be beneficial to both associates and customers, as she will bring a valuable perspective to Bentley Prince Street’s multi-faceted sustainability philosophy and programs.

“It’s always ideal when you can utilize the star power within the company and I am thrilled that Holly has agreed to take on this important role,” says Anthony Minite, president of Bentley Prince Street. “As a sales representative, Holly demonstrated her passion for sustainability on the front lines every day and I am looking forward to seeing her take a leadership role with Mission Zero® and continue the success that we have had thus far.”

Mission Zero is Bentley Prince Street’s promise to eliminate any negative impact that it may have on the environment by the year 2020. As the new director of sustainability, DeBrodt will collaborate with associates, suppliers and customers in order to make the Mission Zero promise a reality. Specifically, DeBrodt would like to continue to move the commercial green products market away from reporting on a single-attribute, like recycled content, and toward Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), which offer full disclosure on the life cycle performance of products.

“I am ecstatic about my new position with Bentley Prince Street and continuing to champion our environmental initiatives and Mission Zero promise,” says DeBrodt, director of sustainability. “Most importantly, I can’t wait to help our customers meet their sustainability goals and share with them the high level of commitment to sustainability that all of our associates have.”

DeBrodt’s involvement in the carpet industry spans her entire career. Prior to joining Bentley Prince Street in 2009, DeBrodt was the sustainability manager for Mohawk Industries. DeBrodt is continuing where Kimbrely Matsoukas left off.  Matsoukas served as Bentley Prince Street’s sustainability manager for six years, helping the company reach significant, award-winning milestones and positioning the company as a significant leader in sustainability and honest third party reporting. Matsoukas has left Bentley Prince Street to join Vans as its sustainability manager.

“We are so proud of all that Kim has helped us to accomplish and we want to thank her, as well as wish her all the best at Vans,” adds Minite.
