HomeNewsShaw announces 2013 InSight convention

Dalton — Shaw Floors recently announced plans for the InSight 2013 Shaw Flooring Network Convention, January 20 – 23, 2013. The exclusive bi-annual networking, product showcase and educational event has historically attracted more than 3,300 attendees representing more than 800 Shaw retailers, all members of the Shaw Flooring Network (SFN), a leading aligned program offering flooring retailers sales, education, marketing and networking opportunities.

For 2013, the company has expanded the convention to highlight additional training, world class speakers and the most highly anticipated product expo offered in the flooring industry today, as well as coordinated family entertainment.

The 2013 Convention theme – InSight – will guide the event focus, creating a vision for attendees, and allowing them to consider their current business structure and how to best capitalize on the SFN foundation. Keynote speaker Andy Andrews, author of the award-winning book The Traveler’s Gift, is back by popular demand by SFN dealers. Andrews will lead an engaging and inspiring session to prepare dealers for a year of success.

The Convention will take place at Rosen Shingle Creek, a premier luxury resort in Orlando, Fla. Shaw will once again reserve Universal’s Islands of Adventure, where SFN customers, vendor partners and associates will enjoy family and personal time. The acclaimed Universal’s Islands of Adventure will be reserved exclusively for attendees to experience the attractions, shops, restaurants and celebrated atmosphere.

“The 2013 Convention will be bigger and better than ever before, providing training from top educational leaders and brainstorming opportunities around the innovative marketing programs and product mix Shaw offers our SFN dealers,” said Scott Humphrey, director of Shaw Flooring Network. “We look forward to gathering with our dealers in preparation for a successful selling season. At the Shaw Flooring Network, we are focused on the success of our valued partners and we take pride in including our families in the event. Looking at all that is planned for InSight 2013, I am confident we will once again exceed the expectations of all attendees.”

“The networking opportunities, world class subject matter experts gathered, and training provided during convention will be truly unsurpassed, and prepare our retailers for a winning selling season,” said Freida Staten, CMP, communications and events manager. “During every SFN Convention, we ensure attendee’s families feel at home and welcome. It is always rewarding to hear our retailers say, ‘I don’t want to leave,’ and we fully expect that this will once again be the resounding response in 2013.”

Registration numbers for the 2013 convention are already passing historical benchmarks, said Staten. Shaw is currently offering a product sales accrual program to help qualifying dealers earn registration enrollment. Dealers can learn more about the program by contacting their territory manager.

With limited space, Shaw is urging dealers to register at shawflooringnetwork.com today. Directed questions to Freida Staten, freida.staten@shawinc.com or 706.275.3623.
