New look for CRI’s GLP Logos

HomeNewsNew look for CRI’s GLP Logos

For more than 20 years, the Carpet and Rug Institute’s Green Label and Green Label Plus program logos have been two of the most familiar labels in the flooring market. Recent updates to the Federal Trade Commission’s Green Guides Part 260: Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims necessitated minor alternations be added to the GLP logos in order for them to remain in compliance with FTC requirements. The new logos for the GLP Carpet and GLP Adhesives programs now contain the phrase, “Indoor Air Quality Carpet/Adhesive Testing Program” as well as the Carpet and Rug Institute web address, www.carpet-rug.org.

CRI welcomes the changes as ways to continue to provide its purchasing partners with the most reliable and recognizable sign that GLP carpets, adhesives, and cushions have the best Indoor Air Quality performance available.
