Dallas—With more than 700 exhibiting companies from all over the world introducing their newest products to thousands of attendees, singling out the best new products at SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas was not an easy task; however, at the end of the first day of the show, ten companies and their products were selected and awarded the top honor. Best of SURFACES was sponsored by Floor Covering News for the second year, while Stone World sponsored Best of StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas in its inaugural year.

Best of SURFACES

The Best of SURFACES Awards were presented in the following categories: Best Booth Design (<1200 square feet), Best Booth Design (>1200 square feet) Innovation, Style and Design, Sustainability and Technology. Floor Covering News selected a panel of judges who were tasked with judging the more than 120 submissions for the awards.

“The Best of SURFACES Awards have become a true benchmark of product success and booth design in just its second year. This year, we had three times the number of entries compared to year one. I think what makes this award program so meaningful is the fact that Best of SURFACES honors companies in the most important categories in this industry,” said Steve Feldman, Publisher of Floor Covering News. “SURFACES exhibitors are recognizing the true value that winning these awards bring, and we believe this program will only continue to grow in the years to come.”

The winners for Best of SURFACES were:

  • Best Booth Design (<1200 square feet) – Olde Wood
  • Best Booth Design (>1200 square feet) – QuickStep
  • Innovation – Flash Bright Linear Mosaic by Emser Tile
  • Style & Design – Adura by Mannington
  • Sustainability – SmartStrand Silk by Mohawk Flooring
  • Technology – Instant Stock Check by QFloors

“We’re so flattered to win the award. When you think about it, technology is behind anything new in the industry, whether it’s a new product or a new way to do our jobs. With all of the

options, and such an expansive category, we feel very honored that our product was deemed worthy of the Best of SURFACES Technology Award.” said Chad Ogden, CEO/President of QFloors “This system is the perfect addition to our inspirational and sustainable family of WHAT’S NEXT® in materials at ASI.”
