Both CRI and NEMA are members of the Product Management Alliance, a multi-industry coalition that promotes product stewardship through market-driven channels rather than government mandates.

Mendez addressed the challenges associated with carpet recycling, the current recycling efforts of CRI member companies as well as CRI’s position on recycling and extended producer responsibility, both from private sector and government-mandated perspectives.

Mendez said her invitation to address the group was a particular honor in that CRI was only non-NEMA member to present at this year’s summit.
