Edison, N.J.—FloorFolio Industries continues to make its presence known in the commercial LVT segment, announcing the construction of its first U.S. manufacturing facility for its patented EnviroQuiet LVT.

The Edison-based company is not disclosing the location of the facility, but said it would be operational by the end of the first quarter of 2015. “This is the most exciting thing we have done in our company’s history,” said Michael Freedman, FloorFolio president and CEO. “We’re looking forward to taking this to the next level. With a continued increase in demand, it was only a matter of time before FloorFolio would bring domestic production to the states.”

Once operational, the New Jersey manufacturing site is expected to deliver shorter lead times and improve customer service. Without revealing its size, Freedman said the new facility would be similar to its existing China location.

“It’s a full-fledged factory,” he said. “The whole idea is to give customers additional choices of EnviroQuiet. We figured this was the natural progression in our company. Our customers are truly excited about what we are doing.”

The manufacturing facility is the second major announcement related to EnviroQuiet in 2014. In January, the company announced its first U.S. patent granted for EnviroQuiet LVT.

A commercial product, EnviroQuiet integrates a sound-reducing underlayment permanently attached to the LVT, thus removing any issues that can occur when installing the product over a traditional sound pad. The company said EnviroQuiet eliminates the two-step process of first installing an underlayment and then the LVT floor, which reduces installation time and saves money as commercial customers do not have to purchase a separate underlayment, LVT and two different adhesives.

EnviroQuiet LVT features a 3mm sound-reducing underlayment that is permanently attached during the manufacturing process. “There is no product out there quite like this, I can assure you,” Freedman said. “EnviroQuiet LVT is just the beginning of our innovative products.”

In related news, FloorFolio has announced the official launch of its Natures Way collection of commercial heterogeneous wood grain sheet vinyl.  The company said the design of the sheet vinyl is created to deliver just enough texture to offer reduced maintenance, yet is not heavy enough to distract from its pattern. Nature’s Way comes standard with a urethane topcoat that adds to the low-maintenance features.

“We have all the inventory in; now it is time to bring it to market,” Freedman concluded.
