Adairsville, Ga.—MaxWoods Floors announced plans to raise prices on its U.S.-made hardwood products by 8%-10%, with orders received on or after Nov. 1, 2016. Peter Spirer, CEO, said the increase is based on a number of factors, including higher product cost, freight, wage hikes and other cumulative operating cost increases incurred over the past years.

“This is the company’s first increase since it began business in 2012,” Spirer stated. He does not expect the increase to have a negative impact on overall sales. “Customer demand is strong, and the underlying factors affecting the wood sector remain positive.”
