Plano, Texas—More than 70% of Rug Doctor customers and more than 50 percent of its employees are pet parents. As part of its ongoing efforts to support the interests of its employees and customers, Rug Doctor, the leading manufacturer of do-it-yourself deep cleaning rental machines and products, is proud to announce its support of the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), the first animal welfare organization in North America, to help bring pets and people together. Through its “Rug Doctor to the Rescue” program (#RDToTheRescue) launching today, Rug Doctor has committed $100,000 to the ASPCA through the sale of its pet cleaning products as part of a year-long commitment to support the fight against animal cruelty.

Now through July 31, for each specially marked coupon redeemed for its Pet Formula Carpet Cleaner or Urine Eliminator products, which help remove the source of pet stains and odors, Rug Doctor will donate $1 to the ASPCA, up to $100,000. Additionally, consumers can show their support for animals and enter the “Rug Doctor to the Rescue” Facebook contest by submitting photos of their own animals for a chance to win prizes including cash, a 16 GB Apple iPad Mini, a 14.2 Megapixel Samsung SMART camera, ASPCA merchandise and a cash donation to a shelter of the recipient’s choice.

“We are delighted to support the ASPCA’s mission, which is a natural extension of our brand and meaningful to both our organization and our customers,” said Walter Haug, vice president of marketing at Rug Doctor. “Rug Doctor is committed to providing trusted, animal-safe carpet and upholstery cleaning products and the ASPCA, renowned for its efforts to end animal cruelty and create resources to save pets in need, is the perfect partner to align with to help make a difference.”

“We are grateful for Rug Doctor’s generous support and commitment to our mission,” said Elysia Howard, vice president of marketing and licensing for the ASPCA. “Rug Doctor’s support will allow its customers to directly impact our national programs helping animals in need.”
