Mohawk customers granted immediate WFCA membership

HomeCOVID-19Mohawk customers granted immediate WFCA membership

WFCA logoThe World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) said Mohawk’s leadership is spearheading an effort that will allow its customers to automatically join the WFCA to bring a more unified voice to the industry.

Scott Humphrey, CEO of WFCA, released the following statement:

“Our combined voices will allow us to have a greater impact through legislation in Washington, DC. Whether federal lobbying efforts or information and education on pressing industry legal issues, the WFCA is committed to championing the causes and issues that are important to you as an independent flooring retailer.

Your membership with the WFCA also helps with our newest initiative to help solve the industry’s installation crisis. We announced our ‘Be Part of the Solution’ campaign in December. Since then, we have gathered the support of Mohawk Industries and other manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, installers, retailers and associations throughout the industry.

The WFCA, through our members and partnerships throughout the industry, has recognized the need to attract more professionally trained installers for our industry. Our members have shared their concerns with us because their businesses literally depend on finding a solution. We’ve heard them, and we’re committed to the cause.

As of today, all Mohawk customers will be granted immediate and automatic membership with the WFCA unless you choose to opt out by sending an email to awelch@wfca.org. You will enjoy all the benefits of research, education, advocacy, technology and more at no cost to you.

Most importantly, your voices will be united and magnified to make a difference in the recruitment, training, and placement of installers—making a difference in governmental policies, trade school curriculum, training resources, and scholarship opportunities, just to name a few.

I am incredibly grateful that Mohawk Industries will be joining our membership and our industry-wide effort to find a solution to the installation crisis. Having you unite with the WFCA magnifies our voice, so that we can make a difference on issues impacting your business and bring valuable resources to help you and your business be more successful.”
