2020 Residential winner

Sassuolo, Italy—Ceramics of Italy has announced the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition, the longest-running awards program of its kind, is officially accepting submissions for the 2021 edition.

After 28 years of honoring North American architects and designers for their creative use of Italian tile, with past winners like Perkins & Will, Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Gensler, Confindustria Ceramica & the Italian Trade Agency said they are excited to launch this year’s edition and introduce two new categories for single- and multi-family residential spaces.

Also, for the second year in a row, the People’s Choice Award will be given to a project that receives the most votes during a public voting period. The jury will select winners in four built categories: Commercial, Institutional, Residential (Single-Family) and Residential (Multi-Family); and one Student category.

Winners will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Coverings 2021 in Orlando, Fla., and the chance to present their projects in front of design media at the show. Built-project winners will also enjoy a five-day CEU trip to Bologna, Italy for Cersaie 2021 in September.

The deadline to enter is March 1, 2021. To learn about prizes and eligibility and to enter visit here.
