Dalton—IVC hosted more than 200 people at an official grand opening of its new headquarters, manufacturing facility and distribution center here on May 16. The event featured guest speakers, a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the facility.

“We are excited to unveil our new home to our customers and community partners,” said Xavier Steyaert, CEO. “Many people have helped take this project from concept to realization and we are now ready to celebrate everyone’s commitment and hard work.”

Construction, codenamed Project Stella, took 15 months to complete. Situated on a 44-acre plot, the facility encompasses 520,000 square feet, and offers IVC US half a million square feet of future expansion space. Project Stella also spurred economic development, bringing 150 sustainable jobs to the Dalton community.

“The investment tat IVC has made in our community will impact Dalton and Whitefield Country for many years to come,” said Brian Anderson, president and CEO of the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce. “We hope that other companies are inspired by IVC’s commitment and growth in Northwest Georgia.”

According to mill executives, the plant featuers the longest vinyl line in the world and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. Green-friendly technology, such as solar panels and a closed loop water recycling system, were incorporated into the facility’s design.
