HomeNewsProSource sponsors Installer Day in Wisconsin

KANSAS CITY, MO.—ProSource of Milwaukee and Franklin, Wis., in conjunction with the International Certified Floor- covering Installers Association (CFI), sponsored its first Installer Day, and more than 100 installers, assistants and remodelers attended the event.

The day included seminars featuring Jim Witmer, Shaw Industries; Joel Cartee, Mohawk Hard Surfaces; Bill Wiese, Mannington; Kirk Grossnickel, Bostik, and Tony Buckhardt, CSS/CFI. The seminars covered topics from manufacturing processes to jobsite conditions and requirements, each particular to the product from each presenter.

“The dynamic presenters gave product knowledge and demonstrated installation techniques while emphasizing the need for advanced CFI training and certification,” said Jeff Bernstein, vice president of operations for ProSource. “Many of the installers found this day to be the perfect opportunity to explore additional areas of potential interest in floor covering installation other than in their own areas of expertise and began to consider potential advantages of diversification.”
