Temple, Tex.—Greenguard’s Children and Schools certification has been awarded to Wilsonart’s high pressure laminate (HPL) flooring, which includes the Estate Plus, Red Label, Professional Studio and Contract lines, as well as its Blue Fusion adhesive products. Approval follows Greenguard Indoor Air Quality certification achieved in 2004.

“There are many benefits of this certification for Wilsonart and its dealers,” said Tammy Weadock, marketing communications manager for flooring. “Our HPL products now have more relevance than ever for specification in the education arena—especially daycare centers—as well as multi-housing and healthcare.”

Wilsonart’s flooring is also CARB compliant and constructed of 70% pre-consumer recycled wood fiber. Additionally, the manufacturer claims to be the first North American laminate producer to receive Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification.
