ANAHEIM, CALIF.—The World Floor Covering Association (WFCA) has opened one of its member benefits to the entire industry. The financial management report, comprised of a study of participating dealers, is available to all retailers, regardless of WFCA membership status.

“The WFCA Benchmark survey has served as the industry canon for performance since its inception in the 1980s,” said Chris Davis, president and CEO. “To make it a true indicator of industry performance, we need as many participants as possible, and that means expanding beyond our membership and making it attractive for non-members to want to be a part of it.”

Participation yields the following benefits:

  1. The Profit report. A financial, operating profile of the flooring industry.
  2. Performance Analysis report. A confidential report sent to contributors comparing participating firms. Many find it useful when discussing loans and lines of credit with banks.
  3. Profit Tool Kit online. An Excel spreadsheet to assist with financial planning.

The Profit report and Performance Analysis report are available free of charge. The survey is conducted by the Profit Planning Group, which originated the analysis for the American Floorcovering Association. Committed to privacy, strict masking procedures are used so no individual data can be identified. Only necessary staff view information provided, and all documents are destroyed after processing.
