Dalton—Mohawk carpet was ranked the No. 1 brand in four survey categories: Brand Familiarity, Brand Used in Past Two Years, Brand Used Most, and Quality Rating, according to home builders polled in Builder Magazine’s annual brand use study.

Builder’s study polls more than 10,000 builders for brand opinions in more than 80 product categories.  Sponsored by the magazine’s publisher, Hanley-Wood, the study has become a yearly benchmark for gauging the attitudes of builders toward a spectrum of materials they are responsible for including in the homes they construct.

“We see the Builder award as a significant honor for several reasons,” said Larry Brookshire, senior vice president, Builder/Property Management.  “It shows that Mohawk is the preferred supplier among builders nationwide.  It reinforces the value of our brand among one of our key constituencies.  And, since many of our retailer partners have strong relationships with builders, it supports their marketing efforts in this important category.”

Mohawk and its brands are in a unique position in that they can provide builders with a single source of supply for all flooring products, backed by dedicated customer service and logistical support. Mohawk and its retailers offer a variety of products and programs tailored for builder needs at all price points.
