Norwalk, Conn. – Metroflor Corporation received five 2012 Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) for its Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) flooring, including four garnered by its new Engage Locking LVT. Engage Select Tile 5148 in Oyster and Engage Select Plank 5120 in Brownville Oak took Platinum, while Engage Essentials Plank 5104 in Graham Hickory and Engage Select Plank 5129 in Canyon City Walnut won Silver. Metroflor Commonwealth Commercial Plank also was bestowed a Platinum award.

New Engage locking LVT by Metroflor offers a solid vinyl floating floor solution for residential and commercial applications. This new line represents a broad range of authentic natural wood and stone looks that can be installed directly over most existing hard surfaces quickly and efficiently.

The 2012 ADEX Awards brought in a record 2,814 product entries from over 500 different companies. ADEX is the largest and most prestigious awards competition for product design of furnishings marketed to the design trade. Said Russ Rogg, “We wanted Engage to be the most comprehensive, aesthetically pleasing collection available today in locking LVT. We’re gratified that the ADEX judges have acknowledged Engage’s design appeal with these awards.”

John Moses, Publisher of Design Journal and Executive Director of the ADEX Awards, commented, “For the past 17 years companies that earn this badge of honor are recognized by the design community as being industry leaders, a cut above the rest.”

The winning Metroflor products achieve the latest international standards and quality assurances based on the ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 9002. Floorscore certified, all products provide excellent indoor air quality with little or no VOCs.
