HomeNewsMohawk ranked No. 8 in Top 125 list

Dalton Mohawk continues to receive top recognition for its commitment to training and continuing education.  Training magazine, the leading business publication for learning and development professionals, has announced its annual Top 125 list for training organizations. The official ranking positions were revealed at the Training 2013 Conference and Expo in Orlando.  The rankings are indicative of organizations with the most successful learning and development programs in the world. Mohawk Industries ranked No. 8, higher than any other flooring manufacturer. This is the eighth straight year Training magazine has recognized Mohawk for its commitment to corporate-sponsored learning and development.

“At Mohawk, we consider training to be a priority. The fact that we consistently rank at the top of Training magazine’s prestigious list recognizes our dedication to excellence and reinforces our commitment to continuously improve,” said Mike Zoellner, vice president of marketing services at Mohawk. “One important piece of Mohawk’s comprehensive training platform is Mohawk University, our retailer education program. Within the last year, we have taken the time to listen to our retail customers’ needs and make adjustments to our strategy based on the feedback we receive. For example, we are aware that sometimes it is difficult for retailers to physically leave their stores to attend a course. In response, we are now offering an online option through webinars for many of our programs in addition to the traditional classroom based learning environment.”

The Top 125 ranking is determined by an evaluation of a variety of quantitative and qualitative indicators, including investment in employee development, the range of development programs and how closely development efforts are aligned with business goals and objectives. The high ranking places Mohawk in the company of a remarkable group of organizations. Other contenders within the Top 125 include elite companies such as Sprint, The PNC Financial Services Group, Jiffy Lube International, CHG Healthcare Services, American Infrastructure and Edward Jones. Verizon ranked No. 1.

“We are incredibly honored to be the highest ranked flooring manufacturer,” added Zoellner. “We consider the ranking a testament to our focus on helping our retailer partners succeed.  In the future, we will continue to address the needs of our customers by providing the very best training, education and business management resources available in innovative ways.”
