Dover Rug & Home, offering the largest selection of fine floor coverings and window treatments in New England, is pleased to announce its new spring line now available in store. Taken from trends observed at three major markets, the International Rug Show in Atlanta, and Surfaces and World Market in Las Vegas, the new line features the following styles:

Fifty Shades of Grey includes the popular colors this spring according to Dover Rug & Home CEO, Mahmud Jafri. Ranging from soft blues to aqua greens, this color spectrum is in high demand among buyers and designers and can be found in traditional, transitional or contemporary style rugs.

Ikat designs are making a bold statement this year in both the interior design and fashion worlds. Inspired by patterns in authentic Indian saris, ikat patterns range from basic circles to elaborate paisleys. “An ikat design fits perfectly in a New England home. It’s a great way to add a contemporary flair to a classic Colonial or Salt box home,” noted Jafri.

Contemporary rugs are front and center this year more than ever before as buyers feel more comfortable embracing this style. Known for their bold colors and bolder designs that utilize lines and geometric patterns, contemporary rugs are designed to capture the ambience of both modern-designed spaces as well as traditional homes with contemporary flair. Like the ikat designs, contemporary style rugs are a great addition to a traditional New England home.

New Zealand Wool, a natural fiber, is highly regarded for its strength, durability, cleanability and comfort. Dover Rug & Home will be contracting with the leading manufacturers to produce an exclusive line of cutting edge, custom designed carpeting and rugs made out of fine New Zealand wool. This will provide customers with a unique selection at an affordable price.

Jafri is very excited about the company’s new line, stating, “Attending trade shows provides me with the opportunity to share experiences, discuss the newest materials available and network with some of the world’s most respected manufacturers and floor and rug professionals. After attending these three trade shows, I am confident that we are staying on top of the very best rugs, carpets and flooring to offer our customers.”
