Baltimore, Md.—Architect Michael Graves and textile designer Suzanne Tick will be the keynote speakers at NeoCon East in Baltimore Oct. 16 and Oct. 17. 
Graves will speak Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 11 a.m. He will describe how a personal healthcare tragedy focused his attention on improving healthcare experiences by design. Graves will present recent projects that range from military housing for returning wounded warriors, to a revolutionary transport chair for the acute care hospital, to performance textiles for all healthcare environments.
Tick will speak Thursday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. She will present her findings on the idea that great design comes from Surface Tension, where contrasting properties make for the most dynamic treatment of surfaces and materials.
