Great Neck, N.Y.—South Mountain Hardwood Flooring has been certified by The Rainforest Alliance, the world’s leading Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Forest Management certifier, with than 20 years of certification experience. The organization works with all forest in over 70 countries, with small businesses, indigenous communities and Fortune 500 companies, as well.

In 1989, the Rainforest Alliance developed the world’s first global forestry certification program relying on market focus to conserve forests. It is one of the founders of the FSC, the most respected forestry standard-setter in the world.

“Our focus of providing high-quality hardwood flooring solutions to our clientele has to include working in conjunction with reputable certification organizations,” said John Salvador, vice president of South Mountain Hardwood Flooring. “Clearly, the FSC is one of those.”
