Saint-Georges, Quebec, Canada—Boa-Franc has received the most prestigious award bestowed by the Canadian government on businesses and organizations that successfully apply best business practices. A Gold Trophy Award was presented to Boa-Franc in the Quality (Private and Public Sectors) category at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel in Toronto on October 30.

In addition to being recognized for its organizational excellence, achievements, and out­standing results, Boa-Franc stood out during the judging panel’s review for the quality of its planning and internal processes and as an organization devoted to economic progress in the Canadian market.

Boa-Franc executive vice president and CEO Jacques Beaudoin accepted the prestigious award on behalf of president Pierre Thabet and the company’s 375 employees, stating, “We accept this prestigious award on behalf of all our clients, suppliers, and employees, who share our dedication and understand the importance our company has placed on quality since its founding 30 years ago.”

The company has garnered many distinctions for quality in recent years. Retailers and other flooring professionals have voted it number one for quality more than 19 times in surveys conducted by industry magazines, including Floor Covering News. Last year, Boa-Franc also received the highest honor at the Grand Prix québécois de la qualité awards.

Located in Saint-Georges, Boa-Franc designs and manufactures Mirage hardwood floors, which are distributed in Canada and the United States. The company celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this year.
