HomePress ReleaseFidbox protects against hardwood damages, preemptively tackles issues

Milwaukee, Wis.—Fidbox, equipped with Bluetooth 4.0, is a long-term data logger that is concealed beneath the floor’s surface by using a dual sensor system. Homeowners will receive notice on their mobile devices if the environmental conditions are not acceptable for their wood floors, allowing for proactive changes to be made before there is irretrievable damage caused.

Once the Fidbox is installed into the bottom of the wood flooring, the device has sensors on the top and bottom that take readings of temperature and relative humidity. These measurements are taken every eight hours over a period of approximately six years.

Using a free App, which is available for both IOS and Android platforms, a daily connection to the Fidbox is possible. Other benefits include:

  • Sends end user warnings in order to avoid potential damage
  • Collects data three times per day for six years
  • Ideal for radiant heat installations, vulnerable species and wide planks
  • Ideal for sports floors or any wood floor application in which strict environmental guidelines must be followed
