Tailored by TarkettSolon, Ohio—Tarkett said it is consolidating its portfolio of custom flooring options and design tools into a single, easy-to-use program called Tailored by Tarkett.

Drawing on the company’s legacy in custom flooring options, Tailored by Tarkett is said to expedite the process of designing and specifying one-of-a-kind floors by providing the needed design resources all in a single design hub. At the same time, Tarkett said it has lowered minimums and shortened lead times for its custom offerings, making personalized flooring options more accessible to any customer, from public school districts to healthcare clinics to corporate offices.

“Customization is a growing trend in the flooring industry, with businesses and institutions leveraging unique designs to communicate a brand message, incorporate wayfinding or divide spaces without adding physical barriers,” said Tommy Keener, senior design director. “The possibilities are endless, and Tailored by Tarkett puts all the tools at your fingertips to create a floor design that leaves a lasting impression.”

The Tarkett brand has a long track record in custom flooring leadership, which includes Johnsonite’s ColorMatch program, offering coordinating colors across all rubber, finishing borders and accessories, according to the company. Tarkett’s expansive custom capabilities also include digitally printed LVT, custom color of an existing modular carpet or Powerbond pattern, custom inlaid designs and more.

Tailored by Tarkett gives designers and facility managers access to online visualizer tools 24/7, and once a design is created, users can expect a quick turn for custom samples, according to the company. For those looking for a more concierge approach, the company said Tarkett’s Designer on Demand program offers free design support with a designer who can configure a space, provide samples and create everything from room scene renderings to floor plan designs.
