San Diego, Calif. — DuChateau Floors unveils their new Heritage Timber Edition for 2012 – a collection that replicates the patina of reclaimed distressed building materials. With the natural look and charm of reclaimed barn wood, DuChateau Floors transforms the wood into planks of unparalleled beauty.

The original character of recycled wood is celebrated with artfully distressed surface scrapes, nail holes, notches, and saw kerf marks reminiscent of salvaged textures. The Heritage Timber Edition embraces warm browns and weathered grays to give this flooring a luxurious timeworn look.

The new FSC-Certified collection is available in Chalk, Coal, Lintel, Slat and Trestle. Combining old world craftsmanship with luxurious modern design, The Heritage Timber Collection is suitable for interior commercial, retail and residential flooring, ceiling and wall panel applications. The FSC European white oak planks are 7-7/16″ wide, but have a random width appearance due to the antique surface quality. The flooring is tongue and groove for easy installation and engineered for added stability.

As with all DuChateau Floors, The Heritage Timber Edition utilizes an environmentally friendly hard wax oil finish, offering excellent durability and renewability, while penetrating deep into wood fibers and protecting from within. This environmentally friendly, zero-VOC, preservative-free, unique lustrous finish maximizes the wood’s natural character and beauty. Natural ingredients include: sunflower, soybean, and thistle oil, combined with natural waxes carnauba and canella. It also contains tiny silicone dioxide (glass) beads, which make the floor more resilient, lustrous and benzene-free

“Our Heritage Timber Edition brings new life to the original character of vintage wood with its beautifully irregular marks of time and old craftsmen,” says Misael Tagle, CEO and cofounder of DuChateau Floors. “The collection delivers visual movement and authentic rustic character to both residential and commercial spaces.”
