Florence, Ala.—The City of Florence, Alabama honored Centiva by nominating them for a Green Corporate Citizen Award, sponsored by Greenstar Recycling. Rachel Mansell, Education Outreach Coordinator for the City of Florence stated, “We nominated Centiva because they are a forward thinking company that realizes that sustainability and “being green” aren’t just ways to market their brands; they are ways to cut costs, boost profits, and help the environment along the way.” Centiva is active in local community environmental efforts including Adopt-A-Mile, Shoals Earth Month, Inc., Florence City Schools Litter Critter Contest, and a recent sustainable beautification project. They are a City of Florence Green Team Partner. They were selected as one of three finalists from over 60 entries nationwide.

Centiva is honored and excited to be selected as a finalist and looks forward to the Corporate Recycling & Waste Conference in Orlando, FL on September 12, where the winners will be announced.
