Lancaster, Pa. – Arthur Dodge III, chairman and CEO at Ecore, announced that Lori Dowling has been named president of Ecore Commercial Flooring (ECF), a new division of Ecore. ECF is a new sales initiative that focuses on promoting five recognizable brands that make up the portfolio: ECOsurfaces, Everlast, ECO98, QT Sound Control and Polyflor.

The addition of Dowling gives the company an opportunity to adopt a focused and very experienced approach toward growing and servicing its contractor and architectural clientele. In addition, Dowling will provide leadership for the company’s ECF agent network. While working closely with Bo Barber, vice president of marketing and sales, she will report to Dodge. The decision is effective immediately.

“Lori is a well-known voice and well-respected leader in our industry,” said Dodge. “Her knowledge of the market enables her to develop compelling strategies for growth, put them into action and drive results. In addition to her experience and strong leadership abilities, she understands the critical nature of building meaningful and lasting relationships. That’s imperative today. We are thrilled to have her officially on board.”

Dowling has been immersed in the business of commercial flooring during her entire career. Her relationship with Ecore began in 2010, when she was named to the company’s Board of Directors. In 2008, she was identified as one of the top 20 women in the flooring industry by Floor Covering News. She spent nine years as president and CEO of StarNet Commercial Flooring Cooperative (now known as Starnet Worldwide Commercial Flooring Partnership). At StarNet, she developed the organization’s strategy and led execution which resulted in growing the network from 50 to 175 members in six years.

Prior, Dowling spent sixteen years with Armstrong World Industry. As their vice president of commercial sales she was recognized for her outstanding ability to recruit, hire and train the best representatives. She graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Business. She currently resides in New York with her family.
