City of Industry, Calif. Bentley Prince Street, California’s largest commercial carpet manufacturer, will be featured in an episode of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” airing Monday, Jan. 14 (8-10 p.m. ET).  Season 14 of the hit reality show is challenging America to get healthy and Bentley Prince Street is being featured as a U.S. company that is getting it right when it comes to corporate wellness.  In the episode, “The Biggest Loser” visits the company’s Los Angeles area carpet mill to showcase its Wellness Programs, which are designed to help associates live a healthier life.

Wellness programs include lunch-time Pilates & Yoga classes, daily walking club, associate weigh-ins, sponsored 5Ks, nutritional consulting, a 5,000 sq. ft., state-of-the-art gym and two full-time trainers.  All programs are available to associates free of charge.  Bentley Prince Street has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles for six consecutive years and its wellness programs have received numerous awards including the California Fit Business Award.

“The Biggest Loser’ is one of the most inspiring shows on television and for them to come here and tell the world about our wellness programs is absolutely thrilling,” said Anthony Minite, president and CEO.  “We believe that providing wellness programs for our associates is the right thing to do and I hope that other companies in America will see this and follow suit.”

“The Biggest Loser” contestants will not be the only ones getting in shape this season; the show is challenging viewers and America to join a nationwide movement to get healthy as well.   With more than one third of the adults in the United States considered obese, it’s critical to engage the adult population in making healthy changes in their own lives.  “The Biggest Loser” kicked-off season 14 with a bold mission to also tackle the childhood obesity epidemic head-on by featuring kid participants (ages 13-16) for the first time ever in addition to adult contestants.
