HomeNewsArmstrong announces price increase on hardwood flooring and trim

Lancaster, Pa.— Armstrong announced today that it will initiate a 10 percent price increase in the United States and Canada on all solid, engineered and wood trim products effective with shipments on May 13, 2013.

“There has been an unprecedented 40% increase in lumber since the end of 2012, which we forecast will stay at historic highs into 2014.  This raw material increase is much higher than anyone has anticipated,” said Kevin Biedermann, senior vice president, Armstrong Residential Floor Products.  “We are doing everything we can to compensate, but unfortunately we must initiate an increase.”
