HomeNewsJackson elected to IIDA NY board

New York—On June 24, Nancy Jackson, president of Architectural Systems, Inc., was inducted into her sixth term as an IIDA (International Interior Design Association) NY Board member. The chapter also recently received three awards at the Chapter Leadership Conference in Chicago including excellence in programs and forum educational activities.

Ms. Jackson’s most significant role is as co-chair of the IIDA NY Hospitality Forums. The last forum, held in January, discussed the timely topic, ‘Can We Have It All?’ where a panel of renowned leaders in hospitality design gave their point of view on balancing work and family in a demanding industry.

Editor Ashleigh VanHouten of Hospitality Design magazine covered the forum event and wrote a poignant article, stating: “The panel was hosted and moderated by Architectural Systems president Nancy Jackson, and took place in their Manhattan showroom, a cozy foil to the biting chill outside. The turnout was great despite the weather, which I think says a lot about our industry’s interest in this topic.

“The panelists… offered up their personal stories, go-to stress relievers, organizational plans, and even regrets in a warm and funny conversation that had many in the audience simultaneously laughing, clapping, and shaking their heads knowingly.” The event was held in the ASI showroom and brought in an unprecedented number of guests and members of the press.
