Seattle — Brendan McSheehy, vice president of innovation, sustainability and intellectual properties at Universal Fibers, was elected chairman of the board for the Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE).

Joe Yarbrough, the new president of the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), was elected vice chairman.
