Doswell, Va. — Barricade Building Products, a manufacturer of housewrap and related building products, announced the addition of floor and tile underlayment to its product portfolio, further enabling Barricade to offer a complete building envelope system.

Barricade said its underlayment provides a moisture resistant barrier without use of asphalt resulting in a sustainable and healthier product. It offers protection against moisture vapor with two layers of kraft paper laminated with a polymer. This offers a higher tolerance to heat and is 100 percent recyclable.

“We have been manufacturing weather resistant barriers since 1986,” said Mike Fields, vice president of sales, Barricade Building Products. “With our diverse manufacturing capabilities, it was a natural course to produce these products, rounding out our product offerings for a complete building envelope system.”

The company also announced the introduction of its new brand messaging, “The Bear’s Got You Covered.”

“While we offer leading products in the industry, we haven’t been actively promoting ourselves,” Fields said. “This new tagline speaks to Barricade today and we see this as the right opportunity to reintroduce ourselves in the marketplace.”
