Dalton — Invision is introducing Student Union, a new customizable modular carpet collection that makes it easy to incorporate a school or university’s brand into the campus interiors. From student centers and athletic facilities to classrooms and student housing, Student Union was created to work on any part of a campus in virtually any facility. With three patterns and 15 of the top collegiate colors to choose from, Student Union allows a school to create a space as strong or as subtle with school spirit as needed.

Designer professionals and facility managers start the easy mix-and-match customizable process by first selecting one of the three patterns: Legend, Scholar or Tradition. They then select two colors from the 15-color palette.

Legend, Scholar and Tradition enable a school’s identity to be easily incorporated into their patterns when the two colors are selected. Legend is a tailored, sophisticated geometric pattern that infuses subtle pops of the selected colors that vary in intensity throughout the tile. Scholar also boasts a tailored look, but is more contemporary in style and strategically utilizes accent stripes in an even, yet random appearance to provide an intriguing visual design element. Tradition is a bold, structured, linear pattern that showcases the colors in varying color combinations.

In addition to the three customizable patterns, Champion’s tonal pattern creates visual energy and offers a coordinating solid option that is a perfect complement to the other three patterns.

“Schools are recognizing the importance of leveraging their brand across every space and every part of the campus, not just within athletic facilities,” said David Daughtrey, J+J’s director of business development education. “A well-executed brand strategy, which includes the selection of interiors materials, can help attract and retain students and generate greater alumni interest. This has significant, positive financial implications that smart schools and universities are capitalizing on.”

The Student Union collection is manufactured using J+J Flooring Group’s Encore SD Ultima solution-dyed nylon. Offering the highest aesthetic and performance standards available, the fiber is specifically engineered to maximize appearance retention. It is backed by lifetime warranties for wear, static, colorfastness to light and atmospheric contaminants and stain removal.

Student Union products can be easily installed and replaced using J+J Flooring Group’s TileTabs. The press-and-stick tabs offer a glue-free solution for nonpermanent installations. TileTabs eliminates drying time and enables immediate occupancy. They also offer the ability to efficiently change out color and design styles when needed.
