HomeNewsShaw donates flooring to Make It Right Fort Peck Reservation homes

Dalton—Shaw Industries has donated hardwood and tile flooring for Make It Right’s 20 Fort Peck Reservation homes. Make It Right, an organization that builds homes and communities for people in need, has partnered with the Sioux and Assiniboine tribes of Fort Peck, Mont., to build sustainable homes on their reservation. The solar-powered homes will be available to tribe members whose income levels are at or below 60% of the area median income. A percentage of the homes will be dedicated to senior adult and disabled veteran housing.

The first of these Cradle to Cradle, LEED certified homes was showcased at Dwell on Design May 29-31 in Los Angeles. Shaw Floors’ Epic engineered hardwood and Lunar porcelain tile were used throughout.
